In line with the directive of Speaker Faustino “Bojie” Dy III to ensure a more open and transparent deliberation of the 2026 National Budget, the Budget Amendments Review Sub-committee (BARSc) of the Committee on Appropriations, chaired by Rep. Mikaela Angela Suansing, held a live public hearing last September 22, 2025. Despite the threat of Supertyphoon Nando, the committee pressed on with nearly nine hours of deliberations on proposed amendments to the budget of several key government agencies.

Bong Joson Teves Jr., joined fellow legislators in almost nine hours of budget deliberations, tackling key agencies such as PhilHealth, DSWD, DOLE, DepEd, CHED, NFA, DICT, DOE, and PCA. Under the leadership of Speaker Dy, the House continues to work towards a national budget that is transparent, accountable, and responsive to the needs of the Filipino people.
