The House Committee on Appropriations, chaired by Nueva Ecija 1st District Representative Mikaela Angela Suansing, held its organizational meeting today to prepare for deliberations on the proposed ₱6.793-trillion national budget for 2026. TGP Partylist Representative and Deputy Majority Leader Congressman Bong Joson Teves Jr., serving as one of the Vice Chairpersons, attended the event to take part in ensuring a thorough and transparent budget review.
Budget hearings will begin on Monday, August 18, 2025, starting with the Development Budget Coordination Committee (DBCC) to present the government’s fiscal framework, revenue targets, and macroeconomic assumptions that will guide the 2026 spending plan. The committee aims to make sure that every peso is allocated with clear purpose and true benefit for the people.
