The House of Representatives has started its review of the proposed six trillion seven hundred ninety-three billion peso national budget for 2026, led by Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez. The Development Budget Coordination Committee presented the government’s funding and spending plans before lawmakers, welcomed by Speaker Romualdez and Committee on Appropriations Chairperson Mikaela Angela Suansing.
Speaker Romualdez assured that every peso will be spent wisely to uplift education, healthcare, jobs, and food security. TGP Partylist Representative and Deputy Majority Leader Congressman Bong Joson Teves Jr. attended the briefing as one of the Vice Chairpersons of the Committee on Appropriations.
