Today, the TGP Party-List, led by Deputy Majority Leader Congressman Bong Joson Teves Jr., continues its commitment to public service through a Social Services Orientation together with our LGU partners in Central Luzon Region and National Capital Region. The program aims to inform and guide the community about various government assistance programs, including DOH/DSWD Guarantee Letters, Medical and Burial Assistance, Educational Assistance, DSWD AICS/AKAP, and DOLE TUPAD.

This initiative highlights the importance of bringing government services closer to the people, ensuring that every Filipino has access to support when needed most. With the dedication of Cong. The House of Representatives has started its review of the proposed six trillion seven hundred ninety-three billion peso national budget for 2026, led by Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez. The Development Budget Coordination Committee presented the government’s funding and spending plans before lawmakers, welcomed by Speaker Romualdez and Committee on Appropriations Chairperson Mikaela Angela Suansing.

Speaker Romualdez assured that every peso will be spent wisely to uplift education, healthcare, jobs, and food security. TGP Partylist Representative and Deputy Majority Leader Congressman Bong Joson Teves Jr. attended the briefing as one of the Vice Chairpersons of the Committee on Appropriations.

Through the initiative of TGP Partylist Representative and Deputy Majority Leader Congressman Bong Joson Teves Jr., conducted the distribution of relief goods in Sta. Cruz, Laguna, reaching out to families staying in various evacuation centers. The beneficiaries were residents affected by the flooding brought about by the recent habagat.

This effort was made possible in partnership with the Local Government Unit of Sta. Cruz led by Mayor Benjo Agarao, Vice Mayor Laarni Malibiran, and the Members of the Sangguniang Bayan, with the valuable support of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD). Through this collaboration, we were able to extend timely assistance and compassion to our fellow citizens in need.

The House Committee on Appropriations, chaired by Nueva Ecija 1st District Representative Mikaela Angela Suansing, held its organizational meeting today to prepare for deliberations on the proposed ₱6.793-trillion national budget for 2026. TGP Partylist Representative and Deputy Majority Leader Congressman Bong Joson Teves Jr., serving as one of the Vice Chairpersons, attended the event to take part in ensuring a thorough and transparent budget review.

Budget hearings will begin on Monday, August 18, 2025, starting with the Development Budget Coordination Committee (DBCC) to present the government’s fiscal framework, revenue targets, and macroeconomic assumptions that will guide the 2026 spending plan. The committee aims to make sure that every peso is allocated with clear purpose and true benefit for the people.
