Four new fire trucks were officially blessed and turned over to the BFP Catanduanes, led by Deputy Majority Leader and TGP Party-List Representative Bong Joson Teves Jr, ready to serve the province during emergencies and disasters. In a formal ceremony, two of the fire engines were handed over to the care of Virac, while one each was allocated to the municipalities of Bato and Baras. Fire C/Supt Ricardo C Perdigon, the BFP Bicol Regional Director, expressed gratitude for these Japanese-made fire trucks, emphasizing their reliability throughout the history of fire service.
The BFP Catanduanes extends its appreciation to TGP Party-List Representative Jose Bong Teves Jr for his efforts in facilitating the acquisition of these crucial assets for Catanduanes. With these modern vehicles and the upcoming Fire Station in Baras, the province is poised to enhance its firefighting capabilities and disaster response, ensuring a safer future for the community.
