The discussion highlighted the importance of supporting farmers and fisherfolk, who serve as the backbone of the nation.
Cong. Bong J. Teves Jr. expressed full support for programs that will strengthen rice, corn, high-value crops, livestock, and fisheries, as well as projects for farm-to-market roads, post-harvest mechanization, digital agriculture, and irrigation systems. Together with DA Secretary Francisco “Kiko” P. Tiu Laurel, Jr. and NIA Administrator Eduardo “Eddie” G. Guillen, he stands for agricultural modernization, food security, and fair treatment for farmers and fisherfolk, ensuring every Filipino can enjoy affordable and sufficient food on the table.

The program was organized with the help of Manila Councilor Eunice Castro, together with Barangay 448 Zone 44 Chairman Leozaly Pilar and the Barangay Council. Families in the community received much-needed assistance through this effort.
