TGP Partylist Representative and Deputy Majority Leader Congressman Bong Joson Teves Jr. joined the Blessing & Turn-Over of the new two-storey, ten-classroom building at Baras Central Elementary School in Baras, Catanduanes. The event was graced by the Department of Education Secretary Sonny Angara, Governor Patrick Alain T. Azanza, Mayor Jose Paolo P. Teves III (President, LMP–Catanduanes Chapter), SDS Ma. Jeany Abayon, SDO officials, and other local leaders. This project is a big step towards giving the children of Baras better opportunities for learning and growth.

On the same day, we also witnessed the Blessing & Inauguration of the Senator Edgardo J. Angara Memorial Building at Kalapadan Bay View Park. Together with Secretary Sonny Angara, Governor Azanza, Vice Governor Robert A. Fernandez, Mayor Paolo Teves, Provincial Board Members, LGU officials, and special guests, this new landmark stands as a legacy of service and a symbol of hope for the people of Baras and the whole province of Catanduanes.

The House of Representatives has started its review of the proposed six trillion seven hundred ninety-three billion peso national budget for 2026, led by Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez. The Development Budget Coordination Committee presented the government’s funding and spending plans before lawmakers, welcomed by Speaker Romualdez and Committee on Appropriations Chairperson Mikaela Angela Suansing.

Speaker Romualdez assured that every peso will be spent wisely to uplift education, healthcare, jobs, and food security. TGP Partylist Representative and Deputy Majority Leader Congressman Bong Joson Teves Jr. attended the briefing as one of the Vice Chairpersons of the Committee on Appropriations.
